Continuous Monitoring. Zero Maintenance. Zero Blind Spots.
The Passive Wireless Temperature Monitoring System from PQSense ensures smarter safety for high-voltage environments. Poor cable connections, fractured springs, and aging fuses often look fine, until the moment they overheat and fail.
PQSense brings these invisible risks into plain view. Designed for continuous 24/7 wireless temperature monitoring inside hard-to-access electrical equipment, the system uses battery-free RFID sensors to track temperature changes—without wiring, power, or manual inspections.
The Smarter Way to Monitor Temperature
Unlike traditional systems, PQSense doesn’t rely on batteries or wired power sources. Our passive RFID sensors draw power from a nearby reader and transmit precise, real-time temperature readings—even from inside metal enclosures or switchgear cabinets.
PQSense uses a unique passive RFID sensing technology. Each sensor is wireless, compact, and maintenance-free. It transmits precise temperature data without requiring direct visibility or line of sight.
Once installed on critical hotspots—such as circuit breaker clamps, capacitor terminals, or cable crimp points—each sensor becomes a continuous watchdog. Even in fully enclosed or high-voltage environments, these sensors detect and transmit thermal behavior accurately and safely.
This makes PQSense Passive Wireless Sensors ideal for monitoring blind spots where traditional tools fail.
How It Works
The Passive Wireless Temperature Monitoring System uses a streamlined three-part setup to deliver continuous, battery-free monitoring—without disrupting operations.
Passive RFID Sensors
Installed directly on hotspots—cable terminals, circuit breaker clamps, or capacitor contacts. Fully passive, powered wirelessly by the reader and antenna, they transmit accurate contact-based temperature data.
Antennas
Connected to a reader and placed near sensors in high-voltage areas. Antennas transmit energy and signals between the reader and nearby sensors.
Reader
Mounted externally in the control section, alongside meters, relays, and other monitoring devices. It sends activation signals and collects real-time temperature data. One reader supports up to four antenna ports (ANT1–ANT4), enabling wide-area coverage.
Why It Matters: See What Infrared and Battery Sensors Can’t
Most wireless monitoring systems still rely on batteries, and most inspections rely on infrared tools. But in high-risk industrial environments, both approaches have limits.
Batteries degrade, require replacement, and often fail in high-temperature or high-voltage conditions. Infrared tools need open panels, clear sight lines, and manual operation—leaving blind spots untouched.
PQSense solves both. Its real-time temperature monitoring system is battery-free, requiring no maintenance or replacements. Combined with RFID transmission, it delivers continuous readings even in enclosed equipment.
